Brad Cook, President/CEO - Mr. Cook
started contracting while attending College and soon realized the
opportunities available in concrete and commercial construction. Since
founding Cook Concrete, Excavation and Utilites in 1988, Mr. Cook has
successfully lead the company as supervisor, project manager,
superintendent, and president. Over his long career, Mr. Cook has been
involved in the construction of more than 300 projects and is primarily
responsible for the successful completion of the vast majority of those
projects. With a focus on the multi-family housing industry, Mr. Cook has
extensive experience in site work construction on both the technical and the
operational sides of the business. $250+ million in sales later Mr. Cook's
attention to service, value engineering, and quality has allowed Cook
to continue to grow while meeting and exceeding customer expectations.
Tim Cook, Concrete Project Manager -
Mr. Cook has been involved in construction for over 20 years and has
spent the last ten years as a key employee at Cook Concrete. Mr. Cook
started as a supervisor and has climbed the corporate ladder to
superintendent, and currently works as a lead project manager on Cook
Concrete’s largest projects. Mr. Cook has an abundance of knowledge in
all areas of concrete, including: paving, slab on grade, and elevated
slabs. Mr. Cook experiences enable him to actively manage multiple
jobsites and tasks simultaneously including a recent pour of over 2100
yards of concrete on a four pour elevated deck.
Adam Flores, Concrete Project Manager
– Adam Flores has been in the construction business since 1984, originally
working for his family’s concrete company. Starting from the ground up, he
has over 20 years experience in setting forms, finishing, post-tension slab,
post-tension and steel layouts, as well as operating a variety of heavy
equipment. Before coming to Cook Mr. Flores spent ten years working as a
concrete crew leader for the City of Grand Prairie. He has been with Cook
since 2006 where his leadership experience enables him to manage multiple
projects simultaneously. Mr. Flores attended Texas A&M University for
engineering, utilities, and public works training and is certified in
flagger safety, C.D.L, driver safety, and CPR.
Mike Dawson, Surveying Operations Manager
– Mike Dawson was brought into Cook in 2007 to develop our in-house
Surveying Department. Prior to joining Cook, he worked in a product
engineering group at Texas Instruments as a semiconductor failure analyst.
Mr. Dawson brings with him seven years experience working with the latest
semiconductor devices which are used in today’s newest high tech electronic
devices. Mr. Dawson graduated with honors from ITT Technical Institute in
Arlington, TX with a degree in Electronics Engineering.
James Sue, Director of Sales - James
Sue comes to Cook with over 10 years of residential construction management
and is an Alumni of the University of Houston. Before joining the Cook Team,
Mr. Sue managed the construction and purchasing departments for a $500M, UK
based Dallas home builder. This experience has given him the fundamental
understanding of the customer’s needs and a talent for generating quality
results. Mr. Sue looks forward to helping you with your excavation,
utilities or concrete construction needs.
Abel Mancha, HR Manager – Prior to
joining Cook, Mr. Mancha served twelve years in various managerial roles of
increased responsibility, and most recently, he served seven years as
Performance Excellence/Learning and Development Manager in Human Resources
for Clarke American. During His tenure at Clarke American he oversaw Dallas’
Performance Excellence focus. He played a key role in preparing The Dallas
facility for submittal (2001 recipient) of the Malcolm Baldrige Award which
is the highest level of national recognition for quality that a U.S. company
can receive. Abel holds a degree in Christian Education from Latin American
Bible Inst, and currently serves on the board directors at Garland Federal
Credit Union.
